Meal Pattern Minute: Serving Cranberry Sauce

With holiday menu planning approaching, we all want to include our seasonal favorites. Where does cranberry sauce fall when it comes to crediting in the Child and Adult Care Food Program? After you've watched the video, here's something to remember about serving cranberry sauce, which you can find in the Fruits section of the Crediting Handbook for the CACFP:

  • In addition to needing a minimum of 1/8 cup, or 2 tablespoons, of cranberry sauce per serving, the meal pattern contribution must be documented with either a standardized recipe or Product Formulation Statement.
