FRAC Research Funding Opportunity
August 17, 2023
FRAC has announced a Request for Proposal (RFP) for subgrants for its Equitable Access in Child Nutrition Programs project, supported by funding through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service (USDA FNS). The RFP will fund research projects that increase our understanding of the barriers to equitable access and service delivery in the Child Nutrition Programs and the interventions and policies that can overcome these barriers. Â
FRAC is interested in receiving proposals related to barriers in the CACFP, as well as within other child nutrition programs. If you've witnessed or experience barriers to equitable access or service delivery in the CACFP, be sure to submit a proposal. CACFP specific research on these issues would help provide evidence that would support program improvements.
EligibilityÂ
Public or private academic organizations, not-for-profit organizations, and state or local government organizations are eligible to apply. An organization must apply as a singular applicant.
Subgrant Awards
Total funding available: Up to $1.1 million will be available under this Request for Proposals.
- Minimum subgrant request amount: $100,000
- Maximum subgrant request amount: $250,000
- The amount of funding requested will not impact scoring priority: A proposal for a$100,000 project is just as likely to be chosen as a proposal for $250,000. Instead, projects will be scored according to the Selection Criteria.
Subgrant length and dates: 24 months, November 6, 2023–November 6, 2025
