Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Granny Smith apple, finely chopped
  • 1 cup melon of your choice, finely chopped
  • 1 container (6 oz) raspberries, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Cinnamon & nutmeg
  • 28 plain pita chips, 11g per serving*

* As a best practice, choose ingredients that are whole grain, low-fat or low in sodium when possible.

Directions

  1. Combine fruit in a mixing bowl and add lemon juice.
  2. Sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon to taste and refrigerate before serving.
  3. Serve with 4 plain pita chips

½ cup salsa plus 4 plain pita chips provides ½ cup fruits and ½ oz eq. grains
