Sponsors: Why Should a Provider Choose You?

October 21, 2026

As a sponsor, you provide training, technical assistance and ongoing support that help providers succeed. The guidance your team provides, along with the help managing paperwork and claims, allows them to focus on the children and adults in their care. When you reach out to prospective providers, does that value come through?

That’s the question we’ll explore in Marketing Your Sponsorship: Understanding Your Audience & Communicating Your Value, a 30-minute webinar on Tuesday, December 1. It’s free for NCA members ($19 for nonmembers) and earns 0.5 CEUs. It’s also the first session in our new training series designed specifically for sponsors.

Whether recruitment is a major part of your job or just one of many responsibilities, this session will help you connect with providers more effectively. No prior marketing experience is needed.

What We’ll Cover

Successful outreach starts long before you write a flyer, social post or email. It begins with understanding who you're trying to reach and how you can help them achieve their goals. In just 30 minutes, you'll learn practical ways to communicate your value. Here's a preview:

Start with your current providers: While prospective providers are the audience you want to reach, your current providers can help you understand them. They can tell you what made them choose your organization and what keeps them with you. We'll explore how both groups can inform your outreach.

You already know more than you think: Your records, provider questions, monitoring visits and even the reasons some providers have left all contain valuable insights. We'll look at how to turn those insights into messaging that connects with and motivates prospective providers.

Your message needs to fit the channel: Something that works in a quick conversation may fall flat in a social media post or on a flyer. We’ll talk through choosing channels that fit your audience and your goals, whether that’s social media, email, print or word of mouth. Then we’ll look at how to shape your message for each one.

Providers value more than reimbursement: In a 2024 USDA study of family day care home providers, nearly three in four providers (73%) named training and technical assistance as a benefit of the CACFP, second only to reimbursement. We'll close by looking at your value proposition: how to clearly communicate the support, expertise and resources your organization provides in addition to reimbursement.

Whether you're actively recruiting providers or looking for new ways to communicate your value, you'll leave with practical ideas you can put to work right away. Register today, bring your questions and invite a colleague to join you. We’ll see you there!
