Ingredients

  • 4 medium bananas (about 2 cups when pureed)
  • 2 cups applesauce
  • 1 (32 oz) container Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Directions

  1. Freeze bananas at least one day before service. To freeze, peel bananas and lay on a sheet pan prepared with parchment paper. Do not overlap or pile the bananas; they will stick together. Cover and place in the freezer overnight. Once frozen, bananas can be stored together.
  2. Place applesauce in refrigerator one day before making smoothies.
  3. In this order, place applesauce, yogurt, peanut butter, frozen bananas and ice cubes in the blender. Blend until pureed and smooth. If texture is not smooth, continue to blend.
  4. Pour 1 cup (8 fl oz) of smoothie in each cup.
