Ingredients
- 2 acorn squash, 2.1 lbs each
- 4 tbsp maple syrup or honey*
*Honey should never be fed to babies younger than one.  
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Cut acorn squash into quarters and scoop out seeds.
- Fill a baking pan with about ½ inch of water.
- Place the squash in the pan, flesh side up. Slice the underside horizontally so that the bottoms sits flat on the pan to keep it up.
- Add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup or honey to each half and spread evenly across the flesh.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until flesh is tender.
- Serve as a side with meat or another main dish.
