Comment Requested: Grain-Based Desserts
NCA Position Statement: NCA and its membership is opposed to reintroducing grain-based desserts back into the meal pattern. Items in this category are high in sugar and often have low nutritional value. NCA encouraged all CACFP program operators to comment on the proposed rule from FNS titled: Simplifying Meal Service and Monitoring Requirements in the NSLP & SBP.  WE DO NOT support including Grain-Based Desserts in the CACFP meal pattern.
