Tri-Valley Opportunity Council, Inc.

March 22, 2019

During #CACFPWeek, children at Tri-Valley’s centers made a pledge to eat healthy! For children, #CACFP focuses on providing healthy meals and building positive eating patterns. With instances of both childhood and adult obesity on the rise, education on food choices and creation of mindful eating is more important than ever.
In celebration of #NationalNutritionMonth, Child Nutrition Services encouraged centers to participate in weekly activities throughout the month. CFSC showed some creativity by displaying a “Hooked on Good Nutrition” bulletin board. Jami and Deb also visited classrooms and had children taste test different varieties of apples, read Dr. Seuss’s book 10 Apples on Top and did a fun activity stacking apples on top of a picture of their teacher.
