Conference Registration
Presenters who wish to attend the conference sessions and networking opportunities will need to register for the conference with the posted registration fees at the time of registration. Advance Registration opens on November 1, 2022.
Hotel/Travel
All presenters are responsible for making and paying for their own hotel and travel expenses. The link for the discounted block of rooms will be emailed to the email provided once registered.
PowerPoint
All presenters will be given a PowerPoint template to use for the presentation. The title slide is required for your presentation. The inside pages are recommended. The presentation slides will be made available to attendees as a PDF in the conference app.
PowerPoint Best Practices
- Keep text on page simple and short
- Include images appropriately
- Proofread and spellcheck your presentation
- Avoid product logos or branding
Handouts
Presenters are asked to submit an electronic copy of their handouts in PDF form by March 15, 2023 for publishing on our conference app. Presenters are responsible for printing and providing an adequate number of handouts if they would like to provide physical copies to attendees.
Audio-Visual
Presenters will be offered standard audio-visual support which will include a podium, microphone, projector, screen, and power cord. We do not provide computers for presentations. If the presenter’s laptop requires a specific cord, then they are responsible for providing their own adapter.
Wireless internet will be available to all presenters and attendees. Please have a contingency plan in place if there is an unexpected technology issue. We recommend embedding any links or videos into your presentation.
Attendee Engagement
Attendees love to be interactive during a presentation. Let’s work together to plan engagement for your session!
Here are some of our favorite ideas
- Hands up: Prepare a “Raise your hand if…” question or two to ask right off the bat to engage your audience.
- Two by Two: Have attendees pair off for an exercise or to discuss a prompt.
- Ask Questions: Ask for attendees to share what they’d like to get out of your presentation (smaller group settings).
